Wall art should take up between 60-75% of the available wall space that is not covered by mouldings, mirrors of furnishings. One is the biggest mistakes one can make when decorating a room, is to have undersized art. When in doubt, always go a little bigger. Line drawings and smaller scale art pieces, work well when grouped together in a gallery style or grid format. Large, bold, more iconic pieces work better hung on their own with some breathing space around them.

You can either choose a colour that compliments your interiors or use the actual art itself to inspire you, and pick up on a colour that's in the art...tying them both together beautifully.
