- Verified at source. Every fact — location, specialism, projects — comes from the studio's own live website, checked June 2026. Nothing is copied from older directories.
- Interior designers only. We left out architecture practices and furniture retailers, even well-known ones, so this is a true interior-design list.
- Genuinely Pretoria. Each studio's Tshwane base — from Waterkloof to Centurion — was confirmed on its own site.
- Not a ranking. Studios are grouped by area and listed alphabetically — there is no "number one". Most work across several categories.

Carné Interior Design
Established in 1991 and run from the Carné Building on Lynnwood Road, this is one of Pretoria's longest-standing studios. Every project is customised individually rather than pressed into a house style, with floor plans, 3D renders, custom furniture and cabinetry handled in-house.
Elm Interiors
A Waterkloof studio led by Melanie Stuart, whose background spans shopfitting and interior design. The work is bespoke and nature-rooted, leaning on natural materials like wood and stone for warm, timeless rooms that reflect the client rather than the trend of the moment.
Full Circle Design
A Groenkloof studio that gives architecture and interior design equal billing, with high-end residential as its specialism. It builds richly detailed, finish-driven interiors through bespoke and hand-selected furniture and careful architectural detailing.
REDDECO
An interior architecture and design practice in Muckleneuk since 1999, with IID- and SACAP-registered designers. It specialises in commercial, retail and hospitality spaces, a human-centred studio that treats each project's constraints as an opening for something original.
Vivere
Launched at Decorex in 2022 by Elisha Annandale, this Waterkloof Ridge studio builds a room up from a calm, neutral blank canvas. Timeless design is paired with bespoke upholstery and handcrafted furniture for a personalised, organic kind of elegance.
DecorHouzz
A Faerie Glen full-service studio making custom, one-off interiors, exteriors and furnishings, all designed to maximise a space and realise a client's specific vision. The offering runs from bespoke furniture to curtains, wall art and finishing details.
Heartspace Interior Design
Founded by Gisela Patlansky and Bernadine Brittz, who bring two decades of corporate design between them. The Lynnwood Glen studio designs meaningful, future-proofed commercial, hospitality and retail spaces around flow and function, with a sustainability bent toward refurbishment and local making.
TT Deco

Effects Interiors
Led by University of Pretoria-trained Hanneri Barnard and registered with both the IID and SACAP, this studio designs function-forward contemporary luxury. The work spans exclusive estate homes as well as retail, office and medical spaces, with a sustainability focus and turnkey custom furniture.
Rosalinda Studio
One of Pretoria's most enduring names, founded by Linda van Vuuren in 1982. The studio works from contemporary to traditional with a focus on balance, harmony and the efficient use of space, with custom curtains, upholstery, wallpaper, lighting and full furniture sourcing.
Studio Walt Designs
A Pretoria studio since 2020, led by Ivan van der Walt, creating intentional, bespoke spaces tailored to each client's identity. It works comfortably from classical to ultra-modern and applies luxury thinking at any budget, across homes, hospitality and corporate interiors.

What's the difference between an interior designer and a decorator?+
Broadly, interior design can involve spatial planning, joinery and built changes, while decoration focuses on finishes, furniture, lighting and styling. Several studios here offer both — where a studio uses a particular term for itself, we've kept its own wording.
Do these studios work outside Pretoria?+
