    Flore d’Amérique Vintage Botanical Prints

Every plate here comes from one book: Flore d’Amérique, drawn from life in the Caribbean and the Americas by Étienne Denisse and published in Paris in 1843. Where our vintage florals gather flowers from many old books, this is a single set of tropical plates: frangipani, hibiscus, passion flowers and heliconia, alongside the fruit of the islands, mango, cashew, cacao, pineapple and nutmeg, each drawn at life size.

Denisse filled the page. Big leaves, heavy blooms and ripe fruit run edge to edge, and each plate keeps its printed header, plate number and French caption.

They suit a traditional or plantation-style room: honey timber, rattan and cane, linen and seagrass, with a big palm in the corner. Hang one above a desk, a bedside table or a bar cart, or set two side by side.

Giclée printed on 230gsm ultra-matte fine art paper with archival inks, in A4 to A0, unframed or framed in Black, White, Light Oak Look or Dark Kiaat Look. See also vintage fruit and succulents & aloes.
