Roses, magnolias, lilies and orchids drawn in the patient, measured line of classic botanical illustration — and beside them the angular, architectural succulents and cacti that make this more than a flower collection. Where our Contemporary Florals & Fruit prints are loose and painterly, these keep every stem, bulb and cross-section set down to be studied.

The palette is quiet and settled: cream and ivory grounds, soft greens, faded coral and dusty pink, with the occasional crimson that has never lost its punch. Nothing here shouts. They carry the character of another century into a room — the feeling of a home lived in a long while rather than recently furnished — warmth without noise.

How to hang them

A botanical reads best as a single considered piece: one print above a console, a dresser or a desk, the bottom of the frame about a hand’s breadth above the surface. For more than one, a pair of the same species reads as a set, and a grid of four or six from a single genus — all orchids, all roses — is far stronger than six unrelated stems. Our vintage palm prints sit well beside them when you want foliage rather than bloom.

Each art print in this collection is available as a fine art Giclée print on premium 230gsm ultra-matte paper using archival inks, or as a mounted canvas — a premium imported 260gsm poly-cotton blend stretched over a 35mm Obeche timber frame. Sizes run A4 through to A0, unframed or framed in black, white, light oak or dark kiaat.
