Vintage Still Life Wall Art Prints

Flowers in vases and fruit on the table, painted by the masters of the subject. Renoir leads with anemones, roses, flowers in a green vase, lemons and an orange, oranges and bananas, and the fruits of the Midi. Cézanne's ginger jar, flowered vase and table corner sit beside Van Gogh's sunflowers and basket of apples. Earlier still are the Dutch-style tables of Abraham Mignon, Severin Roesen and Willem Hekking, crowded with fruit and blooms.

Where our vintage fruit prints are botanical records, drawn to identify a variety, these are paintings, arranged on a table and lit for mood. The palette is rich and warm, with ochre, lemon, rose and deep green against dark or softly lit grounds.

How to hang them

Still lifes belong where people eat and gather. A single large Roesen or Renoir above a sideboard sets the tone for a dining room, and a pair of Cézannes suits a kitchen wall. For a living room, hang three flower pieces in a row above a sofa in identical frames. Our vintage flowers mix in well.
