Contemporary Fruit Art Prints

This is fruit seen the modern way: a pair of cherries or a red apple reduced to two flat colours, lemons and bananas laid out in bold pattern, oranges ripening on a Mediterranean tree, and quieter still lifes of pears, plums and lemons in a bowl. Where our vintage fruit prints reproduce old botanical plates, these are bright, graphic and current.

The energy is cheerful and fresh. Lemon yellow, cherry red, tangerine and pink sit against clean grounds, so a single print brings colour and a little wit to a room without crowding the wall. The softer watercolour-style studies and the moody pear still life sit at the calmer end.

How to hang them

Fruit prints love a series. Hang two or three of the graphic pieces in a row above a kitchen counter or breakfast table, or pair a cherry with an apple on either side of a doorway.
