Our Curated Playful & Whimsical Print Collection

Playful & Whimsical Abstract Wall Art Prints

Abstraction that does not take itself too seriously. Loose shapes that almost become something, wobbling lines, unlikely colour pairings, a bit of visual mischief — work with a sense of humour in it. Where our bold and statement abstracts command a room, these charm it.

The energy is lightness. A playful piece is the thing that stops a well-behaved interior feeling like a showroom — the small act of not being too careful. It gives people something to smile at rather than admire from a distance, which is why it earns its place in a kitchen, a hallway, a home office or a study, and why it tends to be the print guests actually comment on.

How to hang them

These are the exception to hanging big and alone. Playful work thrives in company: three or four in mismatched frames down a passage, or a loose cluster that clearly was not measured to the millimetre. Let the arrangement be a little imperfect — symmetry undoes the whole point. Equally, one bright piece is a good way to lift a corner that has gone a bit serious. For something quieter alongside, see our calm and quiet abstracts.

Each art print in this collection is available as a fine art Giclée print on premium 230gsm ultra-matte paper using archival inks, or as a mounted canvas — imported 260gsm poly-cotton stretched over a 35mm Obeche timber frame. Sizes run from A4 through to A0, unframed or framed in black, white, light oak or dark kiaat.
