A few decisive marks, a lot of clear ground around them — ink gestures, essential lines, quiet geometry in charcoal and bone, alongside pieces that let one warm note of terracotta, olive or crimson do all the talking. Where our bold and statement abstracts fill a wall, these hold it with far less.

The energy is composure. A minimalist print doesn’t compete with a room; it gives the eye somewhere to rest and lets the materials already in the space — timber, stone, linen, plaster — carry the texture. That restraint is why it tends to suit the rooms you pass through and the ones you work in as well as the ones you sit in, and why it ages well on a wall long after a louder choice has started to date.

How to hang them

Give it room. The empty space around the print is doing as much work as the print, so resist filling the wall on either side — one piece with generous margin reads far better than three crowded together. Hang it at eye level and keep the frame slim: black sharpens a line drawing, pale oak softens it. Each art print in this collection is available as a fine art Giclée print on premium 230gsm ultra-matte paper using archival inks, or as a mounted canvas — imported 260gsm poly-cotton stretched over a 35mm Obeche timber frame. Sizes run from A4 through to A0, unframed or framed in black, white, light oak or dark kiaat.
