Tayla Coetzee

Tayla Coetzee is a South African artist living in London. She works with fine line drawings, oil and ink paintings, blending delicate lines with bold, expressive colour. Born and raised in Cape Town, she continues to draw inspiration from the natural landscapes she grew up around. Spending many years between Cape Town and the Overstrand, the region’s flowers and scenery have had a lasting influence on her work, often showing up through layered textures and botanical details.

Alongside her botanical pieces, Tayla often creates simple line drawings of the female form, always relaxed. Her work is inspired by memory, place, and emotion, balancing intentional line work with intuitive use of colour, and reflecting her strong connection to nature and colour.
