European Beech and Bay Laurel Vintage Leaf Pair

This pair brings together the European beech (Fagus sylvatica) and the bay laurel (Laurus nobilis), two hand-coloured plates from a French treatise on trees from the early 1800s. The beech branches out in oval, finely veined leaves with its spiky nut husks; the bay carries glossy, pointed leaves with small flowers and dark berries drawn beneath.

Both share the same rich leaf greens, touches of warm brown and pale background tone, so they read as one composition on the wall.

How to hang them

Hang them side by side and close together so the two read as one piece: above a chest of drawers in a bedroom, a console in an entrance hall or a server in a dining room. On a narrow wall, such as a reading nook beside an armchair, hang one above the other.

Each print in this pair is available as a fine art Giclée print on premium 230gsm ultra-matte paper using archival inks, or as a mounted canvas: a premium imported 260gsm poly-cotton blend stretched over a 35mm Obeche timber frame. • Optional PS floater frames in four colourways: Black, White, Light Oak Look and Dark Kiaat Look. The canvas sits inside with a small shadow gap, so it appears to float.

Delivery

• Delivery takes 2 to 3 business days once your order has been dispatched.

• Keep prints out of direct sunlight and damp.
• Framed prints: dust the frame and glass with a dry microfibre cloth. Put a little glass cleaner on the cloth, never straight onto the frame.
• Canvas: dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water and cleaning products on the printed surface.
• Keep an unframed print flat or rolled until it is framed.
