Weeping Willow and Populus Graeca Vintage Leaf Pair
This pair brings together the weeping willow (Salix babylonica) and Populus graeca, two hand-coloured plates from a French treatise on trees from the early 1800s. The willow hangs in long, trailing sprays of narrow leaves; the poplar rises on a straight stem of broad, heart-shaped leaves, with its catkin drawn beside it.
Both share the same fresh leaf greens and pale background tone, so they read as one composition on the wall.
How to hang them
Hang them side by side and close together so the two read as one piece: above a chest of drawers in a bedroom, a console in an entrance hall or a server in a dining room. On a narrow wall, such as a reading nook beside an armchair, hang one above the other.
Each print in this pair is available as a fine art Giclée print on premium 230gsm ultra-matte paper using archival inks, or as a mounted canvas: a premium imported 260gsm poly-cotton blend stretched over a 35mm Obeche timber frame. Sizes run A4 through to A0, unframed or framed in black, white, Light Oak Look or Dark Kiaat Look, and both prints come in the size and finish you choose. Delivery is free anywhere in South Africa.
All our pairs and sets are priced at 10% less than buying the prints separately.
